Fundraising

The Lavender Touch, is this year’s chosen charity and donations are welcome in support of their work.

The Lavender Touch is a Scottish Borders charity that has been supporting those living with cancer in the Borders for over twenty years.  Their range of complementary therapy treatments aim to bring relief from many of the side effects of a patient’s cancer treatment and the anxieties of their carers.

The Lavender Touch has a unique partnership with NHS Borders.  NHS Borders health professionals refer patients and their carers for a series of therapy sessions.  These sessions are generally delivered at the Borders General Hospital, Macmillan Centre or the Margaret Kerr Unit but can be provided at home.

The Lavender Touch’s amazing volunteers never hesitate to provide a helping hand with fundraising.  They will be out in force at Art at Ancrum this year to provide teas, coffees, traybakes, cakes and scones at the Village Hall.

In 2023 visitors to Art at Ancrum raised nearly £3,000 for the charity through buying tea/coffee and cakes, as well as voluntary contributions.
