Duncan Findlay

At the age of 50 I was diagnosed 'high functioning autistic' and far from being a blow it came as a liberating force for good. It caused me to explore areas of life one of which was art. Previously, I thought the way I saw art was wrong but began to realise it was part of who I was. I do think in straight lines and tend to compartmentalise which leads me to see ideas in geometric shapes interconnected by lines. I have always loved colour, particularly bright colour and the combination of these aspects in my mind makes me produce the work I do.
