Entry to Art at Ancrum is free, but donations were welcomed in support of The Lavender Touch, Art at Ancrum’s chosen charity for 2023. The Lavender Touch’s amazing volunteers never hesitate to provide a helping hand with fundraising.  They were out in force at Art at Ancrum last year to provide teas, coffees, traybakes, cakes and scones at the Village Hall.  Their sales, plus voluntary contributions from visitors, raised £2,913 for the charity.

The Lavender Touch is a Scottish Borders charity that has been supporting those living with cancer in the Borders for twenty years this year.

Their range of complementary therapy treatments aim to bring relief from many of the side effects of a patient’s cancer treatment and the anxieties of their carers.

The Lavender Touch has a unique partnership with NHS Borders.  NHS Borders health professionals refer patients and their carers for a series of therapy sessions.  These sessions are generally delivered at the Borders General Hospital, Macmillan Centre or the Margaret Kerr Unit but can be provided at home.
