This year our chosen charity is Cash for Kids, and there will be collection tins around the event, and Courage the Cat, Radio Borders Cash for Kids official mascot might even make an appearance!
Together, we can make a difference to the lives of children in our community
Cash for Kids is the official charity of Radio Borders, supporting disabled and disadvantaged
children in the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland. We believe that all children
should have the chance to live life to the full and reach their individual potential.
Each year we support thousands of children from birth to 18 years old who are ill,
disabled, underprivileged or who simply need extra care and guidance. We do this by
providing grants to individual children, other children’s charities, community groups,
schools and health organisations.
Every penny raised locally stays locally, so you can be sure that your support will directly benefit a local child with a minimum of 80p from every pound donated going to the children.
We participate in a huge variety of fundraising events both on and off-air by encouraging
individuals, groups, schools and businesses to jump on board and join the fun!
